I was born on 8.10.1972 in the beautiful Sauerland. With 6 years...
I don't think, that you are really interested in these things ;)
So, here only a short list of the important things... I started pretty
early to play around with my fathers computer (a 'portable' CP/M computer).
I wrote some small BASIC programs, until I got a C64 of my own. I used
that one to write smaller programs in BASIC and/or Assembler and played
of course plenty on it. But when the C64 got too small to me, so I switched
over to the AMIGA on which I really worked more than I played... There
I discovered my favourite programming language Modula-II, one of the best
languages on the AMIGA. After I was urged to buy me a PC, I bought a Modula-II
pretty early. That M2 compiler from Stony-Brook creates really marvelous
small and fast code. At the beginning I wrote some smaller programs under
the DOS environment, also a multiplayer game, and switched for EAC to the
Windows platform. Because I never had developed under Windows before, I
had to search somewhere for every detail.
This was a short description of one of my important hobbies :) , but
now to other things that are important to me. My friends are really important
and I try to spend as much time as I could spend to do some activities
together. Unfortunately I don't have such much spare-time as I would like
it, but for some nice hours now and then ;) With most of my friends I share
some kind of hobby, like computer, sport and/or something completly different.
Often we play board games (or from now on again role playing games) or
we just sit relaxed in a pub...
Moreover sport plays an important role in my life. At the moment I
take part in two courses on our university, Ju Jutsu and also Tai Chi Chuan.
Sport is real fun doing it in a group! Further, something I also practise
in a group, is music. I play clarinet in a youth orchestra in my home town.
Now I will tell you somethinh about a more serious subject, my work.
First, we have to work out some things for our project group often or I
prepare on pratices together with a friend, that means also visiting these
pratices, additional to the lectures that I listen. With these things the
major part of my week is over. Some more hours I have to spend for my job
at the university. At the moment I work as practise tutor for the beginner
lecture about programming I (Java). After the job will end in february
(end of the term) I will have a look after a new job... This job has the
advantage, that there is the possibility to do some work at home and at
weekends, so that I have more time during the week.
So, I hope this was enough to fed you up ;)... If not, feel free to
send me an E-Mail!
